Senior Network Engineer

We are hiring a talented Lead Network Engineer to join a growing Parsippany, NJ based team.  As a Leader in the IT Infrastructure team, you will be joining a high-powered collaborative team responsible for delivery and support of on-premises and cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure required to sustain high-growth mission critical applications used by major transportation companies across the globe. This role will report to the Vice President of Data Center Operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be a hands-on leader for a geographically diverse team of network engineers.
  2. Design, Build, Maintain and Support LAN/WAN Infrastructure for INTTRA’s Corporate and Business environments for both on-premises and AWS hosted resources.
  3. Design, Build, Maintain and Support F5 environment.
  4. Lead and Support Security Auditing and Remediation Standards and Procedures, Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Management.
  5. Support INTTRA’s Corporate and Business System O/S and Application environments
  6. Execute, Maintain and enhance Disaster Recovery procedures and strategies for INTTRA’s Corporate and Business environments.
  7. Design and Maintain INTTRA's voice communications systems utilizing various Cisco Telephony products for VOIP, CM, CME, UM, UME, SRST.
  8. Perform problem analysis and resolution tasks as part of an on-call support rotation.
  9. Collaboration with other IT teams to provide services and support

Qualifications:
Experience:
  1. 8-10 years’ primary experience as a Network Engineer for Cisco Products.
  2. 5 years’ primary experience as a Team Lead.
  3. 5+ years’ experience with SD-WAN, VPN, MFA, Radius/ACS technologies.
  4. 3+ years’ experience with F5 BIG-IP GTM, LTM and iRules.
  5. 3+ years’ experience with patch management, vulnerability management, security scanning tools; Qualys and Alert Logic a plus.
  6. 2+ years’ experience with AWS; VPC, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, WAF, Route 53, etc…
Skills & Qualities:
  1. CCNP or CCIE certification preferred.
  2. Highly proficient with Routing, Switching, Firewall, and Wi-Fi solutions from Cisco/Meraki, specifically Cisco ASA, Firepower, Catalyst and Nexus; Meraki Security Appliance, Access Point and Switch. EIGRP and BGP.
  3. Highly proficient with F5 BIG-IP GTM, LTM and iRules.
  4. Thorough knowledge of all common Networking protocols, Network Management Software, Network/Systems Security.
  5. Strong with AWS services; VPC, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, WAF, Route53, etc…
  6. Have experience with Linux, Windows, sendmail/SMTP, shell scripting.
  7. Familiar with ISP connections, SD-WAN and point-to-point leased data circuits.
  8. Knowledge of VMware ESXi virtualization technology.
  9. Strong Experience and understanding of change management frameworks such as ITIL.
  10. Strong Experience and understanding of patch management.
  11. Must be highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative.
  12. Demonstrated problem solving capabilities.
  13. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education & Professional Qualifications:
  • S. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent computer-related education.
  • CCNP/CCIE
Special Work Hours Requirement:
  • Participate in incident management and off-hours maintenance activities, as necessary.
  • Participate in Change Management weekend maintenance windows, as necessary.
