Construction Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Construction Coordinator to work in the New York Metro Area. The candidate for this position need to ensure appropriate quality control on all processes and coordinate with various teams to gather all permits for projects.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Gather, organize and update construction schedule for the job site; Assist with preparing RFP/RFI to sub-contractors and evaluating bids
  • Update project cost on a weekly basis and prepare estimation study with the current market.
  • Negotiate contracts, policies and deadlines with suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage multiple construction projects at one given time and prepare construction progress reports for all projects on everyday basis and manage all communication with contractors and project managers.
  • Collaborate with project manager and resolve all queries for construction progress and ensure compliance to all safety procedures at site.
  • Assist construction manager and prepare schedule for all projects and assist in close out process and ensure appropriate filing of all paperwork.
  • Coordinate with material and supply chain management personnel to bid all proposals and evaluate contract work and design all AFE for various projects.
  • Identify all pipeline and access road locations according to various specifications and engineering drawings and ensure compliance with all federal and state laws for various activities.
  • Prepare various documents for all implementation of activities and ensure approval for same and assist to distribute all final documents
Education and Qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Construction or Architecture
  • Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a coordinator or manager in related industry
  • Strong communication, organizational, and managerial skills and preferred experience working with large cross functional, multifaceted teams.
  • Must be a confident, self-starter, disciplined, detail-oriented and a good problem solver
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate and oversee schedules as necessary to ensure the company is in compliance with legal obligations and to ensure timely, efficient completion of projects
  • Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
